Learning Outcome:

The programme aims at developing awareness that I.T. sector is not isolated and immune from the spirit of unionism amongst the employees. This programme will make the participants aware as to the causes of emergence of Trade Unionism in general and labour issues in I.T.Companies and also the related concepts of ‘Employment Laws’. The workshop will also focus on developing balancing measures to mitigate the disputes between I.T employees and their Management and management of knowledge workers.

• Development of Trade Unions in general.
• What is a Trade Union as per the Trade Union Act,1926
• What constitutes a Place of Employment-Legal Perspective.
• I.T. Sector as a Place of Employment and H.R. v/s I.R in I.T Companies Laws applicable to I.T Industries.
• Rights of Employees of I.T. Industries v/s H.R Perspectives Rights of Employers as per Applicable Laws Causes of emergence of labour disputes in I.T sector.
• Remedial measures to curb labour disputes. Q & A Session
