Certified Payment Messaging Expert (CPME^TM)

MVLCO offers a four full days comprehensive Certified Payment Messaging Experts certification program extensively focused on messages and messaging standards used in payment systems. The course covers important messages formats e.g. SWIFT MT/MX , ISO20022 , Fedwire and CHIPS messages used in payments systems.

The course covers understanding important message types at field/message component level. The PME program emphasizes on active participation from delegates and includes exercises and case studies.

Pre-requisites:

Prior understanding of payment systems is necessary. It is better to complete either the Certified International Payment Systems Professional (CIPSP^TM) program or Certified Payment Processing Specialist (CPPS^TM) program before joining CPME^TM.

What will you learn?

When you complete CPME^TM, you will have understanding of: 

• Introduction to usage of messages in payment systems
• Overview of payments process including push/pull transactions
• Global formats e.g. SWIFT MT/ISO20022, Regional/proprietary formats e.g.  USA ANSI
• Core data elements in payment messages
• Overview of SWIFT MT messaging
• What is SWIFT
• Using SWIFT FIN messages for payments
• Concepts, Terminology and understanding basic fields in SWIFT MTmessages
• Understanding of important messages in MT 1XX & 2XX series
• Use of SWIFT MT messages in End to end payment transaction processing :
  From remitter to beneficiary covering business scenarios of inward and outward payments.
• MX Messaging (ISO20022 XML messages)
• Overview of other standards for payment messaging

Online Certification Exam

Qualifying Participants:

Participants who have successfully completed respective training program will be assigned the online examination within a week.

Before taking the exam:

1. Make a note that you appear for the online examination within the given time period as exam assigned to the qualifying participants will be active for three months.
2. Check that your system has a good internet connection, working webcam. If your system does not meet this requirement, it will not be possible take the exam.

Re-Examination Policy

If you do not pass an exam, you may retake the exam. Retaking examination is chargeable based on the corresponding training program.

Certificate:

Once you clear the exam, you will be provided with the digitally signed copy of certificate.
